Dragonite International is hoping to secure its hold on the estimated US$500 million global market for electronic cigarettes by suing alleged patent infringers in the US, according to a story in the South China Morning Post.

The Hong Kong-listed Dragonite International, formerly Ruyan Group (Holdings), says that it intends to take legal action against all of the major electronic cigarette manufacturers and distributors in the US.

The company is said to have already won a number of patent infringement cases on the mainland of China.
